conceptual artist

Manon Volpe is a multimedia and conceptual artist. Growing up in the Hamburg neighbourhood of Altona Altstadt in the 2000s, change always played a role in her life. Whether it is the external change of a city or the invisible in our bodies.

Before she began her studies at the University of the Arts Bremen, Manon dedicated herself to researching emotions and their flowing courses. She explored the merging of bodies and the distancing between them. In her latest project, ‘isle of shift’, Manon revisits aspects of this research and places them in a general social context.

Change may be painful, a process we have to live through, but only by facing it can we meet the challenges and shape the future.
